Team SSSB Seeking Members

Team SSSB is passing its torch, and we're looking for five new runners to become a part of the Kylie Rose's Run family! Team SSSB was created in 2017 by three women from Akron who had a passion to compete, and a desire to make a difference in the Akron community! The three decided to build a marathon team of five, with a vision to run with purpose and help children, one mile at a time! With the exception of the three founders, Team SSSB has had 4 other teammates who have loyally given their time and effort to Kylie Rose's Run. In the past two years, Team SSSB has won two Akron Relay Marathons and raised over $16,000! All the money earned has gone directly to Kylie Rose's Run, for pediatric cancer research, items that are used to stuff the bags of love and monetary gifts for patients and families in need at Akron Children's Hospital. 

Kylie Rose's Run and its board believe that it is our duty to show up on the best day in Akron- the day of the Akron Marathon!  We want to run the blue line that touches the sidewalks of Akron Children's Hospital, to continue to show these kids that we are here for them, not only when inside the walls of the building, but also outside of its doors. It's important that we have a team to run for the kids who are unable to go outside and run themselves.  We're not looking for a team to win the Akron Marathon, we are looking for five individuals who believe in our mission, stand behind it, and want to support children and families in the battle with pediatric cancer.  

We are looking for the future members of Team SSSB to possess qualities such as compassion, integrity, motivation, kindness, philanthropy, etc. We take this process of finding a new team seriously, as these runners will be representing a cause near and dear to our heart! We welcome any Team Relay – male, female, or mixed! Should the chosen team want a running coach, the former team is committed to offering training to the new team.

If chosen, Kylie Rose's Run will provide race entry fee, race day jerseys, social media support on KRR social media platforms, and help with any fundraising hosted by Team SSSB. If you are interested please contact Christie Sullivan at sullivancm22@yahoo.com for more information.
